This Privacy Policy explains how Alure AI ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile app and website (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Face photos — images you take or upload that contain your face, used for scanning and analysis (see Section 2).
  • Account identifiers — an anonymous user ID created when you first open the app (no email or password required).
  • Onboarding answers — optional info such as gender, age, goals, and preferences you provide during setup.
  • App usage data — scan results, routine completions, coach messages, and feature interactions stored to provide the Service.
  • Purchase status — subscription and in-app purchase entitlements (processed by Apple and RevenueCat; we do not receive your full payment card details).
  • Device & analytics — basic technical logs and funnel events to keep the Service running reliably.

2. Face Data

This section describes how we collect, use, share, and retain face data (photos and images that identify or depict your face).

2.1 What face data we collect

  • Selfie or portrait photos you take with the in-app camera or choose from your photo library.
  • AI-generated Future Self preview images derived from your scan photo (if you purchase and use that feature).
  • Numeric scores and metadata derived from your face photo (e.g., ratings for skin quality, jawline, overall attractiveness).

We do not collect biometric identifiers (such as Face ID templates) and we do not perform identity verification.

2.2 How we use face data

We use face data solely to:

  • Generate AI facial ratings and personalized glow-up routines.
  • Display your scan history and progress over time in the app.
  • Provide context to the AI coach about your latest scan and routine.
  • Generate optional Future Self preview images when you request them.
  • Enable you to share a score card image if you choose to use the share feature.

We do not use your face photos to train public AI models.

2.3 Sharing face data with third parties

Face photos are stored on Supabase (secure cloud hosting). To deliver AI features, face photos and related prompts may be transmitted to Google Gemini (Google LLC) for processing on our behalf. Google processes this data only to generate the requested output (ratings, routines, coach replies, or Future Self images) and does not receive your name, email, or Apple ID.

We do not sell face data. We do not share face photos with other users.

2.4 Where face data is stored

  • Supabase — private storage buckets and database (United States). Photos are stored under your anonymous user ID and protected by access controls.
  • Google Gemini — processed transiently when you use scan, coach, or Future Self features; not stored by us on Google's systems beyond the API request.
  • Your device — temporarily cached for display (e.g., pending onboarding photo before purchase).

2.5 How long we retain face data

We retain face photos, scan results, and related data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account in Settings, we remove your profile, scans, uploaded photos, routines, coach history, and Future Self images from our systems. Cached data on your device is cleared when you delete the app or reset your account.

2.6 Your choices regarding face data

  • You choose whether to take or upload a photo; the app explains AI processing before you confirm a photo.
  • Delete your account and all associated face data in Settings → Delete account.
  • Contact us at leobuilds8@gmail.com to request deletion or ask questions.

3. How We Use Other Information

We use non-face information to:

  • Personalize your experience and store your progress.
  • Process subscriptions and unlock paid features.
  • Improve the Service and fix bugs.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. AI Processing & Third-Party AI Services

The app uses third-party AI services to deliver core features. Before your first face scan and before you use the AI coach, the app explains what data is sent and asks you to continue, which constitutes your consent.

  • Google Gemini — receives face photos for scan analysis and Future Self image generation; receives coach messages and scan context for coach replies. Sent via our Supabase servers; no API keys are stored in the app.

These providers process data on our behalf under their enterprise/API terms. We require that processing is limited to providing the Service. We do not use your content to train public models.

5. How We Store & Protect Data

Data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (Supabase). Photos are kept in private storage accessible only to your account. We use industry-standard security measures, but no system is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active. Account deletion (Settings → Delete account) removes your profile, scans, routines, coach history, uploaded photos, and Future Self images from our systems.

7. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

  • Service providers — Supabase (hosting, auth, database), Google Gemini (AI processing), RevenueCat (purchase verification), and Apple (payments).
  • Legal requirements — when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

8. Health & Wellness Information

Skincare, grooming, and lifestyle suggestions in the app are for general self-improvement only and are not medical advice. We link to reputable sources (American Academy of Dermatology and NIH) in the app where recommendations appear.

9. Your Choices

  • Delete your account and associated data in app Settings.
  • Manage App Store subscriptions through your Apple ID settings.
  • Contact us to request access to or deletion of your data.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided us data.

11. International Users

Your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
